Forty-one Royal Arch Masons, including eight Active Provincial Officers, experienced an enjoyable evening as E Comp Barry Smethurst Inducted his successor, E Comp John Hitchin as MEZ.

The Deputy Grand Superintendent not only delivered the address to the Principals in fine style but also presented two SGC certificates to recently Exalted Companions. (On being offered two versions, they made the correct choice!)

E Comp Francis Margot presented E Comp Barry Smethurst an IPZ Jewel in an emotional tribute to his outstanding impact to St Ives Masonry. Recent health difficulties have unfortunately forced Barry to curtail his masonic activities, but he honoured his duty as MEZ and persisted with three Exaltations delivered to his usual impeccable standards.
