The Bi-Centenary celebrations of Socrates Lodge No 373 culminated in three donations to local charities. The Woodland Cancer Trust, The Palmer Court Home (Wellingborough) for masonic families and MAGPAS. The Brethren of Socrates Lodge headed by the Worshipful Master, W Bro Brian Gebbels celebrated 200 years of the Socrates Lodge formed in 1823 which initially met in the ‘Fountain Inn’, Huntingdon – the site where Woolworths formerly stood. Due to the generosity of the brethren a total of £2700.00 pounds was shared amongst the charities.
