We are very sad to report that, on Monday the 29th of April 2019, WBro Jason Robert Hill passed away suddenly at home.

WBro Jason was a very popular and well-liked Freemason and Police Officer. Also, a doting father and husband. He was only 49-years old.

Jason was initiated into Heritage Lodge No. 9344 at Corby on the 16th of December 2005. He progressed through all the offices before becoming Worshipful Master in 2013. After his year in the Master's chair, Jason became the Lodge's Secretary.

Having joined the Holy Royal arch in 2007, E Comp Jason became First Principal of Cytringan Chapter in 2016.

Jason was to have attended Provincial Grand Lodge at Sheaf Close, Northampton on Thursday the 16th of May 2019 to receive his first Provincial appointment to the rank of active Provincial Grand Superintendent of Works in recognition of his significant contribution to Freemasonry, particularly his work at the Corby Masonic Centre

Jason served as a member of the East Northants local policing team and was based at Kettering. His police "collar" number was 206.

Upon hearing of Jason's passing, Northamptonshire Police's Chief Constable, Nick Adderley, paid tribute on Twitter:

Jason leaves his wife, Nikki, and two young daughters. Our thoughts are with them and the rest of Jason's family at this very difficult time.

Funeral Details

A Requiem Mass will be held for Jason at St. Brendan’s Church, Beanfield Avenue, Corby on Thursday the 30th May at 11am followed by internment at Shire Lodge Cemetery. A fully escorted Police funeral is planned.

Flowers are requested from family only. Donations will be collected at the funeral for COPS (Care of Police Survivors).
