The Centenary of any Lodge is a great achievement, and the meeting of Dr Oliver Lodge No. 3964 on Friday the 25th of October 2019 at Ellindon celebrated the event in great style.
The Provincial Grand Master, RWBro Max Bayes, his Executive and many other distinguished Brethren were welcomed by the Master of the Lodge, WBro Mark Watson.

Of all the illustrious Brethren throughout the years in Freemasonry, it could be argued that The Rev Dr George Oliver is one of the most important, for it is his cautionary words on the admission of candidates that adorn many summonses, by-laws and other such Masonic artefacts.
Born on the 5th of November 1782 in Peppleworth, Nottinghamshire, the eldest son of the Rev Samuel Oliver - who initiated him into Freemasonry in 1801/2 in St Peters Lodge, Peterborough - Dr Oliver rose in the ranks of Freemasonry and became a great writer on the subject, publishing many books. The Lodge that bears his name in Peterborough was consecrated on the 23rd of September 1919 at the Co-operative Hall, Park Road.
The consecration was undertaken by The Deputy Provincial Grand Master WBro Thomas Horton PGD and WBro JG Sturton, reigning master of the Ailwyn Lodge, was installed into the Chair of the new Lodge.
