On Thursday the 28th of November 2019, WBro David Redden PPJGD, the Charity Steward of Chicheley Lodge No. 607, and WBro John Rivett PAGDC, Secretary of Northants & Hunts Provincial Grand Charity, visited the Headway East Northants brain-injury charity and presented their administrator and fundraising coordinator, Becky Lake, with two brand-new Apple iPad electronic tablet devices.

The iPads will be used to run a variety of different applications designed to improve cognitive/strategic thinking and memory. They will also be used to research topics of interest.

The iPads have already been used during several group-sessions to improve the learning skills of the groups' participants.

The brethren of Chicheley Lodge first heard about Headway East Northants at the Thrapston Charter Fair in in July 2019. The two organisations had adjacent stalls.

The resultant conversation led to the Lodge raising £319, which was matched by the Provincial Grand Charity and allowed the two iPad devices to be purchased.

Becky Lake said:

On behalf of everyone here at Headway East Northants, please accept our sincere thanks to all at Chicheley Lodge 607 and the Provincial Grand Charity of Northamptonshire and Huntingdonshire for so kindly choosing to donate to us. The iPads will be an excellent boon to our centre.

We congratulate Chicheley Lodge No. 607 and the Provincial Grand Charity for once again supporting such a worthwhile charity.
