Northamptonshire and Huntingdonshire New and Young Masons Club members have been busy distributing over 5,800 Easter Eggs to charities (including several children's charities), families in difficult circumstances, and hospitals.

The Easter Eggs have been very kindly donated by brethren, individuals and businesses from across the Province.

This fantastic initiative to bring a little happiness into the lives of children- and adults-in-need was the brainchild of Peterborough NYMC members, Bro Roy Stockbridge and Bro Phil Scrannage, whose original idea was to collect 100 Easter Eggs to donate to the Amazon Children's Ward at Peterborough City Hospital.

Having successfully achieved the original target, news of the project spread rapidly resulting in NYMC members from across the Province securing further Easter Egg donations from many different sources.

Their success was evidenced by the collection of over 1,500 Easter Eggs in just 2-weeks with 5,800 eggs collected in total - a fantastic achievement indeed!

The hard work, commitment and support of all involved was outstanding, particularly given the difficult circumstances in which they were forced to operate.

Now, after an appropriate period of quarantine, the Easter Eggs have been delivered to over 55 recipient organisations.

We are so grateful to all the businesses, individuals and brethren who have provided support by making donations in such great numbers. We will ensure that all the Easter Eggs are put to good use, thereby spreading a little bit of Easter happiness to children and adults in need.
