Having been consecrated on Saturday the 19th of October 2019, Lock Stock and Barrel Lodge No. 9984 is the Province’s newest lodge. It is a special interest lodge, one that specialises in clay pigeon shooting.

The format of the Lodge’s meetings is a clay shoot in the morning followed by a ceremony and festive board in the afternoon. It meets four times a year at different locations within the Province.

The Lodge’s first installation meeting took place on Saturday the 8th of February 2020. Unfortunately, the subsequent restrictions imposed as a result of the COVID pandemic have prevented the Lodge from holding a formal meeting since.

Thankfully, regular informal shoots have been arranged by the Lodge’s secretary, WBro Martin Cannon. These have done a great deal to boost the spirits of the Lodge’s brethren and maintain its cohesion.

The meeting held on the 26th of June 2021 was of special significance, the reason being that during the lockdown, on Saturday the 2nd of January 2021, the Lodge’s Charity Steward, WBro Andy Adamson, passed to the Grand Lodge above (link).

WBro Andy had always promised his family that he would invite them to one of the Lodge’s shoots, so Andy’s son, Adam, his daughter, Victoria, and his granddaughter, Melody, were ferried to the shoot from the “Wild East of England” to make good his promise.

As can be seen from the photographs above and below, a good time was had by all, and we have no doubt that Andy would have been pleased by the result.
