On Thursday 11th August 2022, Ex.Comp John Payne 2nd Prov.Grnd.Princ. and Ex.Comp Roger Hutchinson Scribe E of Cytringan Chapter presented a cheque for £300 to Northants Search and Rescue on behalf of the Chapter.

This organisation comprises of 39 volunteers including Doctors, search dogs and specialist equipment who assist the emergency services in Northants and surrounding counties in the search for missing and vulnerable people on land and in water. All of the work is funded by donations.

Their Chairman Nick Strelcz said " Please thank all the members of Cytringan Chapter for their kind donation which will be put to good use "

Cytringan Chapter No 4048 have made two significant donations to local charities.
The Northamptonshire Health Charity Fund was delighted to receive a cheque for £300 and agreed that this would be `ring fenced` for the New Macmillan Cancer Support Centre at Kettering General Hospital (KGH).

A second donation of £300 has also been made by Cytringan Chapter to the Lakelands Hospice in Corby and this was also recorded at the recent visit to KGH by Chapter members Peter Chown and John Payne.

Speaking on behalf of Cytringan Chapter, MEZ Ex Comp Alastair Rae explained, `We are delighted to have been able to provide much needed assistance to these worthy causes, who do so much in our local community`.

Danielle Mellows (KGH) explained, `We are so grateful to Cytringan Chapter for their donation. This will help which our new MacMillan Cancer Support Centre at KGH to provide a full range of vital cancer information and support services under one roof`.

This year’s Provincial Grand Chapter of Northamptonshire & Huntingdonshire meeting was held at Sheaf Close, Northampton on Thursday 23rd June 2022.

The Most Excellent Grand Superintendent, E Comp James Boughton was please to received over 190 Companions including 11 visiting Grand Superintendents, 14 Deputy Grand Superintendents, and a host of our own and visiting Grand Officers and Distinguished Guests for other Provinces.  The Most Excellent Grand Superintendent was particularly delighted to receive The Deputy Provincial Grand Master in Charge VWBro Charles Bennett and the Provincial Grand Master Designate WBro Mark Constant along with Heads of other Orders present.

In total, 60 Companions were either re-appointed to Active Office, were appointed to Active Office, received a first appointment or a Promotion in past ranks.  We congratulate them all.
