E Comp Mike was appointed ProvGSE in 2019 and in addition to the general activities of the role, he has overseen the administrative running of the Province through the major events of the COVID-19 shutdown and the implementation of Hermes.

On handover E Comp Mike said “It has been an immense privilege to serve our Chapters as ProvGSE for the last four years. Apart from managing four Annual Meetings, lunches following the bi-annual meetings of Supreme Grand Chapter, compiling and editing our regular newsletters, and the Principals’ and Scribes E dinners, I have been able to meet many Companions on my various visits during that time.

We have emerged from the darkness of the pandemic shutdown and restrictions to a world now focussed on new challenges, and in which Freemasonry can afford us a valuable rock on which to cling. Our values and ethos are much needed today, perhaps more than ever in our lifetimes.

I am sure that E Comp Ian is the right Companion to take the baton of Office through the next period, supporting our members to the best of his skill and ability. I don’t doubt he will receive the support of all our members”.
