WBro Jack Summerfield, WM of Corbie Lodge No 9155, has taken up a massive challenge whilst he is in the Chair. He aims to run 2012 km in the year 2012 - the equivalent of running a Marathon every week for 52 weeks. Considering that Jack only took up running last year he has set himself a formidable task. He is raising money for two well deserving charities. Because it has been very supportive to his brother’s fiancée as she fights cancer, WBro Summerfield chose Integrated Cancer Therapies (ICT). He also chose the Provincial 2013 RMBI Festival. If you would like to support Jack and donate to one of these causes you can do so on his Charitygiving page for ICT or his Justgiving page for RMBI. Alternately you can contact Corbie Lodge Secretary (details in Yearbook) for more traditional methods. |

Last year Jack completed The Great North Run raising £500 for Teddies for Loving Care. This year he has already completed several organised runs including the Milton Keynes and Reading Half Marathons, running some in fancy dress as Elvis, and is planning many more throughout the Province, including Corby, Kettering, Daventry, Northampton, and Huntingdon. Finishing the year with the Peterborough’s Great Eastern run and his longest which is the Rutland Marathon.
