Huntington's disease is a neurodegenerative genetic disorder that affects muscle coordination and leads to cognitive decline and psychiatric problems, affecting about one person in 10,000.
WBro David Timson, Chaplain of Wentworth Lodge No 737, is one of several Brethren in the Province with family members affected by the disease. Some time ago, he and his Lodge, aided by the Provincial Grand Charity, donated £1,500 to the Huntington's Disease Association. They have continued their good work and raised another £750, which has again been matched by the Provincial Grand Charity.
