The death of a well known Corby Mason is announced. WBro Samuel W Roberts passed to the Grand Lodge above on 22 February 2012.

He was a friend to all and very generous with his help and assistance. He always had time to advise and assist the younger Brethren and an example which many of us would hope to emulate.
He was initiated into Thistle & Rose Lodge No 6644 where his father had been a founding member. He was a founding member of Ferraria Lodge No 8489 in 1973 and Lodge of Heritage No 9344 in 1989. He was the Worshipful Master of Ferraria Lodge in 1980.
WBro Sam was instrumental in the building of Corby Masonic Centre. His company provided the heavy equipment used to clear and build the foundations for the building. He was the Chairman of the House Committee which oversaw the building of the second phase of the Masonic Centre building. WBro Sam spent many hours overseeing the completion of the centre, a building of which he was very proud.
He will be sadly missed by all.
