Reach for Health by Daventry Lodges

Each year the Daventry Lodges agree on a worthy charity for their joint donation.  This year it was the Reach for Health Gym in Daventry

For 16 years it has been working with local doctors and health professionals to provide monitored remedial exercise and physiotherapy for victims recovering from heart attacks, strokes, joint replacement or brain injury.  It also helps those coping with diabetes, arthritis, asthma or COPD, or with pain or weight management.

The Provincial Grand Charity generously matched the donation, enabling them to present a cheque for £3,000 to the Gym’s founder, Wadge Grzelak.

Wadge, a senior member of the Royal Society of Medicine, with over 30 years experience in helping people to recover from injuries and major surgery, has a special interest in spinal damage and pain management.  He has built up a team of physiotherapy instructors, as well as massage therapists, nursing prescribers and an acupuncturist to help patients with their recovery.  Many Daventry Masons make use of the services they provide.
