The Joy of Fishing

This Province is fortunate in having a thriving branch of the Masonic Trout and Salmon Fishing Charity. Masons and non Masons alike combine to give needy children a special day out doing what they all enjoy - fishing.

These photographs (by courtesy of WBro Trevor Pywell) show the joy on the faces of two of the recipients of the fishing day certificates when the certificates were presented to them by the Provincial Grand Charity Steward, WBro Gerry Crawford

The first outing for our local branch this year was on 1 May 2014 at Ringstead Grange. Despite a day that was often blustery and rainy, the enthusiasm of the children and their helpers was not dampened.

The branch is always looking for those who might be willing to help out on their fishing days throughout the Spring and Summer months. More information can be found on their website.
