The brethren and friends of Abington Lodge 8041 held their annual White Table dinner on Saturday 17 May 2014. An excellent evening was topped off with a surprise visit. Arranged by WBro Franco deSalles, three players from the Northampton Saints rugby team, fresh from their triumph over Leicester Tigers on the previous night, dropped in on the proceedings.
George Pisi, Ken Pisi and Fa'atoina Autagavaia assisted the Worshipful Master, WBro John Cato, and Director of Ceremonies, WBro Selwyn Griffiths, in running with the auction.
This raised £1,160. Half will go to the Worshipful Master’s charity - Operation Smile - which provides free surgery to repair cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities for children around the world.
