The inaugural meeting of the monthly York Road Social Evening (aka the Friday Night Club) took place at the Kettering Masonic Hall on Friday 23rd March 2018.

Approximately 40-people attended the event. They enjoyed a buffet meal and a talk given by local author Sue Moorcroft.

The event was the brainchild of Kettering & Thrapston Group Officer, WBro Michael Branch, who felt that there were few opportunities for Masons, their friends, and family to meet other than at ladies' festivals.

Michael came up with the idea of an informal social evening, one that would include a different topic of interest to local people and perhaps foster an interest in Freemasonry at the same time.
