As an ex-member of the Parachute Regiment, the Not Forgotten Association (NFA) is a charity that is very close to the heart of WBro Phil Russell, Worshipful Master of Lactodorum Lodge No. 8526, which meets at Towcester.

WBro Phil is particularly grateful for the support provided by the Association to injured friends and colleagues. He said:

This is a charity that provides support to any serving man or woman who is wounded, injured or sick, and any veteran with a disability, illness or infirmity. This is regardless of the cause and whenever it arose. Some of my dearest and closest brethren have family members benefiting from this charity as we speak.

Accordingly, Phil has set himself the challenge of running 302-miles (almost 12-marathons) in 100-days to raise money for the NFA. He chose these values to mark the time elapsed since the end of the First World War in 1918, and the 302nd anniversary of the United Grand Lodge of England.

Phil is going great guns and has already covered 78-miles since he started his challenge on Remembrance Sunday.

Any person wishing to sponsor Phil can do so via his BT MyDonate fundraising page:

We congratulate Phil on undertaking this very worthwhile challenge and look forward to monitoring his progress.
