The Lodge's almoner, WBro Steve Mills, presented the brooch to Mrs Gill Bailey at a gathering of friends of family who came together to honour the memory of her late husband, WBro Alan Bailey.

In presenting the brooch, WBro Steve explained that it symbolised the continuing concern of Freemasonry for its recipient and acted as an assurance that they were not alone. Furthermore, it was given in the hope that they would wear it on appropriate occasions, especially when travelling, so that they may be recognised, greeted, and assisted when necessary by Masonic friends throughout the world.
