Mary Wilkinson's 101st Birthday

We are delighted to send our congratulations and best wishes to Mary Wilkinson upon reaching her 101st birthday.

Mary is the granddaughter of WBro. George F E Wilkinson, who in 1924 was appointed as the Deputy Provincial Grand Master for the Province of Northamptonshire and Huntingdonshire, a position he held until 1933.

Mary now lives in sheltered accommodation in Market Harborough and has retained contact with Freemasonry originally through her father who was a Mason, but more recently through the work of the Almoner of Pomfret Lodge No.360, WBro Bruce Burrows, who has kept in touch and also added Mary to the mailing list for Password, our twice yearly Provincial magazine, which she enjoys reading.

Mary has also donated a silver salver which was originally presented to her grandfather and is now on display at Sheaf Close.

She has many official photographs of the senior Provincial Officers of 100-years ago that were passed on to her, including the one above.

Her grandfather`s brother, WBro SB Wilkinson, was the Worshipful Master of Pomfret Lodge in 1896 and WBro Alfred Cockerill, Provincial Grand Treasurer (link to article below):

We send our very best wishes to Mary for the Festive season and well done to WBro Bruce for his excellent Almoner work in our wider Masonic family.
