At the January meeting of the Lodge of St Paul, 6516, the brethren and visitors raised £200 from the raffle at their festive board. The proceeds were to go the Play Specialist Team on the Paediatric Ward at Kettering General Hospital.
Worshipful Master Red Litchfield chose the Play Specialist Team as the recipients as his son Juno was admitted with severe complications after contracting chicken pox in February 2022.
The Play Specialists are a dedicated team of staff whose role is purely to make the children's stay on the ward that little bit more comfortable through games, arts and crafts, reading and anything else that can distract from the clinical surroundings of a hospital ward.
