With the new season less than a month away, maintenance and improvement work will be in progress in many of our Centres throughout the Province.

At the Masonic Hall, York Road, Kettering, the Directors, members and volunteers have been particularly busy with a range of improvements including new carpets in the main lodge room and also other rooms within the complex.

In addition, the leather lodge room chairs are in the process of being re-covered and it is possible for members to `sponsor a chair` and have a dedicated name plate attached. Any members wishing to do so should contact WBro Duncan Childs, Group Officer, on 01536 512217 or 07771 816655.

In the new season, a wider range of Festive Board dining options will be available for members and visitors.

Chairman of the York Road Management Committee, WBro. Michael Branch, PAGDC said; “I would like to thank WBro Peter Brown (Complex Secretary), together with members of the York Road team and volunteers for their work in connection with the ongoing improvements at York Road.
In particular, I would mention Mrs Avril Brown and Mrs Claire Garley who together with a number of the members of St Crispin Lodge No. 5627, worked vigorously to clear both the rooms in order to prepare for the new carpets to be fitted. This work, together with the re-covering of the leather chairs will continue to make our Centre, something we all can be proud of”.

Well done to all involved.
