There were enormous smiles all around as Brethren of Euston Lodge No2283 recently celebrated with WBro Robert James (Jim) Clement PPSGW as he was awarded a 50 year Golden Jubilee Certificate by WBro John Clarke PAGDC.
As the first Initiate following the Consecration of the present St Neots Centre, he has been very heavily involved in St Neots masonry ever since, including Royal Arch, Mark Masters, Royal Ark Mariner, Operatives and Rose Croix, as well as Installed Masters and First Principals.
His extensive work behind the scenes and his dedication to Freemasonry and St Neots culminated in the award of the PGMs Certificate of Merit and promotion to PPSGW by the PGM RWBro Max Bayes, in 2014.
Not one for resting on his laurels, as recently as 2022 WBro Clements, as Chair of the Euston Rooms Committee, has been involved in taking the St Neots Rooms ‘off-grid’ though the installation of solar panels to help future-proof Masonry in St Neots.
