The Annual General Meeting of the Provincial Grand Charity, held at Freemasons Hall, Sheaf Close, Northampton on Saturday 9th March 2024 was a most successful and informative event with a full house attending and updates received on the work of the charity from the key officers, together with an excellent presentation by Christine Morgan, CEO of the domestic abuse charity EVE on their work in Northampton.

 In order to support the work of the charity and in particular, with regard to Children’s Services, the MCF have recently made an award of £59,000 over a three year period, which Christine said will make a significant impact on the work they can do in this area.

In his Address to the meeting as President of the Provincial Grand Charity, The Provincial Grand Master, RW Bro Mark Constant congratulated all members of the committee and in particular, VW Bro Charles Bennett, this being his last meeting as Chairman, for their successful time in office, despite some difficult years. He also congratulated WBro Gerry Crawford for his time in office as Provincial Grand Charity Steward and for overseeing a most successful 2024 MCF Festival. In addition, thanks and best wishes were given to WBro Kevin Mackie, for his time as Provincial Grand Almoner, sadly to be cut short by illness.

The PGM also highlighted the excellent progress the Province is making with regard to Membership where the current numbers are 40+ on the year, whilst referencing the excellent presentation by Christine Morgan, CEO of domestic abuse charity EVE and the work of The 3 Pillars Feeding The Homeless charity within the Province.
