Peterborough and Stamford Light Blues spread Easter joy

On Saturday the 30th of March Brethren from the Peterborough and Stamford Light Blue committee embarked on a heartwarming mission to spread joy and bring smiles to the faces of those in need. They visited two different children's homes and a psychiatric ward for girls to deliver Easter eggs and create a memorable experience for everyone involved.

The first stop was at a local Peterborough children's home. As they entered the premises, they were greeted from the care homes staff, who passed on the eggs to the children.

At the second Care Home, the Brethren were able to deliver the eggs personally to the children. The children, who may have faced their fair share of challenges, were overjoyed to receive the Easter eggs. It was a testament to the power of simple acts of kindness and the ability to brighten someone's day.

The final visit of the day was an all-girl psychiatric ward - the only one in the country, where they aimed to bring a sense of comfort and support to those undergoing treatment. To the patients, who often face loneliness and isolation, the Easter eggs served as a symbol of hope and reminded them that they were not alone in their journey towards healing. This visit to the ward was not just about delivering Easter eggs; it was about fostering a sense of belonging and reminding the patients that they are valued members of the community.

The Brethren hoped that, as the day came to a close, they left behind not just chocolate eggs, but also a lasting impression on the hearts of those they had touched. Let us all be inspired by these actions and strive to make a difference in the lives of those around us, no matter how big or small.
