This past Saturday (April 20th 2024), the Mulliner Classic Car Lodge 10019, gathered together for an event that combined the love of classic cars with fraternal bonds and Masonic tradition. The day began heartily with a breakfast at Milton Ernst Garden Centre and despite the recent wintery weather there was an impressive turnout of cars, classic and modern.
The Drivers embarked on a countryside drive devised by WBro Dermot Bambridge. The wide variety of cars made the picturesque journey through the rolling landscape concluded at "The Keep," in Bedfordshire which served as the perfect setting for the day’s highlight— The raising of Bro Colin Baines on behalf of St Peter & St Paul Lodge 1410, Newport Pagnell. This unique gathering underscored a tri-county collaboration, raising a Brother from Buckinghamshire, by Northants & Hunts, in Bedfordshire uniting under a shared heritage of both automobiles and Masonic values.
Following the ceremony, the members enjoyed an excellent festive board, an occasion filled with laughter, toasts, and conversation, strengthening the bonds between the two provinces.
As the event drew to a close, participants expressed their enjoyment of the day's activities and their anticipation and renewed enthusiasm for the next meeting scheduled for June.
