Stamford Light Blues Race Night

On Friday evening 24th May, Burghley Lodge (9364), hosted a race night in aid of its benevolent account at the Stamford Centre. The event, organised by the Burghley Light Blues, was attended by members of six of the seven Stamford Craft Lodges with their families and friends, including several potential candidates for Freemasonry. The fun evening which raised over £1160, was filled with much laughter and jovial banter over eight races with a meal and drinks.

A first response from the Stamford Centre Lodges to the PGM’s membership challenge; this event is the start of a series to be organised by the Light Blues, which will aim to bring members of the Stamford Lodges together, while raising funds for the MCF and local charities. The events will also reflect the Provincial membership strategy in order to attract new members while raising the profile of Freemasonry in Stamford.

A wonderful evening was had by everyone, with new friendships made and established friendships consolidated, while raising a significant boost to Burghley Lodge’s benevolent fund. A real demonstration of the spirit of Freemasonry.
