This week, members of Sothius Lodge of Freemasons enjoyed a memorable visit to the MAGPAS base at Alconbury airbase. During the visit, Lodge leader, Mark Coverdale and Charity Representative Mark Bramley, along with other Lodge Freemasons, presented a cheque for £1645.50, funds raised through various social events held throughout the year.
The funds will help MAGPAS Air Ambulance continue to provide vital emergency medical care across the region, ensuring rapid response times and lifesaving interventions. The Lodge members had the opportunity to witness the dedication and expertise of the MAGPAS team firsthand, leaving them inspired by the crucial work being carried out to serve the community.
Pilot Tim expressed gratitude for the donation towards maintaining their operations and explained that the service has a significant cost, with each launch averaging about £3,000 annually.
