On Friday 15th August, WBro Robin Hitchcock PGStB/PProvSGW sadly passed to the Grand Lodge above.
Derek “Robin” Hitchcock was initiated in December 1971, Passed & Raised in early 1972 and Exalted into the Royal Arch in October 1973. Almost 54 years of loyal membership and service to Freemasonry.
Robin was initiated into Lodge of St George, later becoming a joining member of Old Kimboltonians, Lodge of Prudence, Scout Lodge, Lodge of Installed Masters as well as being a Founder Member of Buckby Castle Lodge in 1980 and Founder Member of Buckby Castle Chapter in 2000.
He was a Provincial Officer in both the Craft & Royal Arch for a number of years in various Ranks & Roles, eventually being appointed to Grand Rank in the Royal Arch in 2013 as Past Grand Standard Bearer.
Recently Robin very proudly took part in the Exaltation Ceremony of his son, Bro Darren Hitchcock.
Robin was a valuable and very much an integral part of a Provincial team of cyclist raising funds for the MCF, by driving the support car and most importantly providing and carrying the packed lunches.
