The St James Three Pillars Charity was created to feed homeless and those in need in the Northampton area based at the St James Church Northampton, the charity wants to send a huge thank you to the wonderful pupils, staff, and families at St James CE Primary School for their incredible Harvest collection in support of 3 Pillars Feeding the Homeless.
Aaron Day, charity member, commented “We were overwhelmed by the number of generous donations – so many bags full of essential items were delivered to us, and we know our Friends will be truly grateful. Our cooking team is also looking forward to turning these ingredients into hearty, nutritious meals full of warmth and care”.
Many of the items came with thoughtful handwritten messages, but one in particular touched our hearts: "Dear God, I hope that all of my food goes to 3 Pillars safely. I hope that poor people get a better life. I hope they get better houses and even a car. I hope you enjoy all of my food. Amen."
This beautiful prayer, written by a child, reminds us how powerful compassion can be – and how much we can all learn from the generosity, empathy, and kindness shown by children. Their simple yet profound wishes reflect the kind of world we should all strive to build – where everyone has what they need to live a happy and fulfilling life.
Thank you again to everyone at St James CE Primary – you’ve truly made a difference.
