At the Christmas meeting of Petriburg Lodge on 12/12/25, Mr David Smart and Mr Daniel Smart a father and son were initiated into the lodge in a Double Ceremony.
A nice turn out of 60+ members and their guests including the Provincial Grand Master R.W.Bro Mark Constant, saw the lodge conduct a lovely ceremony that was both individual and combined in all relevant aspects of the ceremony. We all know how emotional and impressionable a Father and Son combination is in any ceremonial work and the Christmas Lodge and Festive board lived up to that billing.
For the members of Petriburg Lodge the Double Ceremony is becoming business as usual as in November they conducted a Double Passing Ceremony and have already scheduled a Double Initiation Ceremony of another Father and Son for the March meeting. In February another initiation will take place boosting lodge numbers.
The hard work of the Lodge Membership team and the Lodge Members in bringing in new initiates and retaining them, compliments the hard work the Province is undertaking in pushing through the 3000 barrier.
