Sunday the 11th of December 2022 saw the return of the Province of Northamptonshire and Huntingdonshire's 'Festival of Lessons and Carols Service' held at Peterborough Cathedral.
Despite the wintery weather conditions, it was wonderful to have such great support for this popular annual event, which was last able to be held in 2019.
The Dean of Peterborough, the Very Reverend Christopher Dalliston, led the service and the Cathedral's choir gave a wonderful performance throughout.
A number of civic dignitaries were present and the Cathedral was filled with members from across the Province together with friends and family members.
The Lessons were read by the Provincial Grand Master, RWBro Mark Constant, also by RWBro Tony Henderson (PGM for Bedfordshire) and heads of other Masonic orders from within the Province including the Grand Superintendent of the Royal Arch, E Comp Jim Boughton, and the PGM for the Mark Degree, RWBro Bob Stokes.
The service concluded with the traditional mince pies and a glass of wine, and there was no doubt that all those in attendance left the Cathedral feeling that their Christmas was well and truly under way!
