PGM `live` on Peterborough City Radio

On Thursday 24th August 2023, the PGM took to the airwaves to promote Freemasonry to the general public. RW.Bro Mark Constant was a guest on PCR FM’s Breakfast Show in Peterborough, hosted by Kev Lawrence.

It was a timely interview as local Freemasons had a stand the following day at the annual Peterborough Beer Festival on The Embankment, and the following weekend will open the doors of the Masonic Centre in Peterborough to members of the public – both events last year attracted much interest and the Province were able to recruit new members from them, as well as explaining the part our organisation plays in the community.

During the interview the PGM was able to put across our message, the core values that we stand for, and highlight two of our charities – TLC and Three Pillars – as well as letting listeners know how they can get in touch if they want to find out more. It was also of interest that RW.Bro Mark spoke about the Women Freemasons Lodge that now meets in our region, and that the age of entry in Lodges has been dropped to 18 years in order to encourage younger men with the university scheme, hopefully showing the listeners that Freemasonry truly is an all inclusive organisation.
