The Provincial Gala Ball, held in support of the 2024 MCF Festival on Friday 17th November 2024 in Northampton, was a great success with an amazing evening of fun, entertainment and fundraising !
Overall, the Gala Dinner event raised the magnificent sum of £13,000, with an additional £10,000 presented as the proceeds from the PGMs Bonus Ball Lottery, making a grand total of £23,000 that will benefit the Festival Appeal !
With approaching 300 brethren, partners, family and friends attending, all enjoyed a great start to the evening with a drinks reception, followed by a ‘Posh Kings and Queens’, which proved great fun !
After enjoying Dinner, which included 'surprise’ entertainment from the ’Singing Waiters’, the evening continued with a Charity Auction, expertly compared by the Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies, Roger Blason, who with a team of helpers, conducted the Auction of Promises for a wonderful array of prizes (see link previous article).
There was a surprise presentation on the evening from Steve Storey, who has headed up the PGMs Bonus Ball Lottery committee for sometime and was delighted to present the Provincial Grand Master with a cheque for £10,000 to the benefit of the Festival.
Steve also explained that the Bonus Ball Lottery will continue beyond the conclusion of the Festival and so encouraged everyone to check details of how you can get involved on the Provincial Website (link)
The evening concluded with dancing, accompanied to the super sounds from Reuben Freeman and his Fine Time Disco.
