Father Christmas arrived early at Socrates Lodge when WBro Robert Thurston presented cheques to local charities Dreamdrops and Magpas. On hand to receive them were the hard-working Chief Elves, Janet Dullaghan and Emma Saunders.

Dreamdrops fundraises to supply items that the NHS simply cannot afford to purchase but would love to have, from play toys to specialised medical equipment in SCBU. Janet said, “This will help to make a child's hospital stay more comfortable and allow them to return home sooner.
Emma Saunders for Magpas, the life-saving accident response service, said, “This will help to purchase 100 emergency airways to keep patients alive. We thank the local Masons for their continuing support.”
