The Third Pillar Review: Community Engagement – why it’s important and how we can do it better
Sir David’s address will focus on the vital role community engagement plays within modern Freemasonry. Drawing on the findings of the Third Pillar Review, he will explore how Lodges and individual Freemasons can strengthen their approach to charity and volunteering by adopting best practice and working more effectively within their local communities.
The presentation will highlight how meaningful and well-structured community involvement not only enhances the public profile of Freemasonry, but also makes membership more fulfilling, strengthens Lodge cohesion, and helps attract new members who share our values of service and contribution.
Brethren attending will be encouraged to reflect on how their own Lodges engage with their communities and to consider practical, achievable ways to improve impact, visibility, and collaboration going forward.
