Around 120 members attended Annual General Meeting of the Provincial Grand Charity at Sheaf Close on Saturday morning, providing an opportunity to reflect on the achievements of the past year and look ahead to the continued charitable work of the Province.
The meeting opened with reports from the Chairman, VWBro Tim Almond, Treasurer WBro Paul Sparks, and Provincial Charity Steward WBro Mick Warren, each outlining the charity’s ongoing activities, financial stewardship, and the positive impact being made through the generosity of members across the Province.
During the meeting, congratulations were also extended to Yan Phoenix, who was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of his remarkable fundraising efforts during his year as Worshipful Master. Through his dedication and the support of his Lodge, he raised an impressive £7,195.85 for Masonic charities — a truly outstanding achievement.
To close the meeting, the President, Mark Constant, addressed the assembled members, reflecting on the remarkable achievements of the charity and the continued generosity of Freemasons throughout the Province. He also spoke about the recent announcement by theMasonic Charitable Foundation regarding the sale of its nursing homes after many years of service, before concluding by announcing those members who will receive appointments to Grand Rank in both Craft Freemasonry and the Royal Arch.
The AGM proved to be both a productive and inspiring morning, reminding all present of the profound difference that Freemasonry’s charitable work continues to make in the wider community.
