Meridian Lodge, the Huntingdon Group Daylight Lodge’s Worshipful Master, Mervyn Agger, attended the Huntingdonshire Society for the Blind head office earlier this month to present a cheque for £1000.00. The donation, raised through his efforts at both Meridian and Ailwyn Lodges, was enhanced by a generous addition from the Provincial Grand Charity.

Bro Mervyn is well known to visitors of Ailwyn Lodge, having served as the Dining Steward for over twenty years, said: “I’m proud to have had the chance to make a donation to a community charity in my year as Worshipful Master.” The donation will support some summer social activities for the visually impaired in St Neots, St Ives, Huntingdon, and Ramsey.
