Huntingdon Carnival time

Huntingdon Group Officers were out in force for the Huntingdon Carnival, Riverside Park, Saturday 10 August, enabling the public to Discover Freemasonry. The Huntingdon Town Mayor, and Sothius Lodge member, Cllr Karl Brocket warmly welcomed the crew to the event and introduced his own potential candidate to the Team. Although his civic duties currently prevent his active involvement in Lodge, he is grateful for the contact and encouragement he receives from the Lodge and is looking forward to expanding his involvement in the near future.

Grp Officers: John Napper, Ged Dempsey, John Clarke, Bro Mason Burge, John Pilbeam, Phil Miles and Bro Karl Brockett, Town Mayor.

Bro Mason Burge, 30yrs of age and new member of Toseland Lodge was involved in challenging misconceptions about Freemasonry being an old man’s pastime and explaining his personal journey.

Information was freely distributed to curious members of the public, including leaflets from the HFAF and OWF for lady enquirers and a number of gentlemen identified for follow up.
